Five leadership learnings & tips in the face of God Complex tendencies.

Move over tech-imperialists & political strongmen…business leaders are rejecting the

CEO god complex.

As part of our Looking Differently series, we wanted to look … differently … at leadership narratives in the wake of anti-institution, anti-woke, anti-globalisation and anti-expert sentiment.

How organisations operate, and ultimately how brands perform, is defined by their leaders, who make the big calls, set organisational culture and formulate the strategic vision.

At Truth Consulting, we set out to understand the people behind the corporate brand – their aspirations, tone and topics – as an indication of where the business environment is heading. On social platforms like LinkedIn, CEOs often have more followers than their company page and are a pivotal resource for building strong brands.

At Truth Consulting, we form comms strategies not only for brands but for CEOs too, and we’re noticing a shift – and urgency – in getting leadership speak right to build more compelling, future-proof brands.

To take a new look at today’s leadership archetypes, we harnessed our Truth Intelligence platform, which specialises in synthesising insight from our lives online, to examine how decision-makers are positioning themselves in 2025 – with fresh eyes and a willingness to question where narratives are heading.
