Dumb paper, smart paper

One day all our bits of paper will be replaced by multiple iPad-like screens that we can interact with for more immersive experiences, and our computer monitors will be replaced by images hovering in mid-air a la ‘Minority Report’.

Between now and then, we might have to settle for Fujitsu’s “FingerLink Interaction System”, which provides a user interface that effectively turns a “dumb” piece of paper, and the table it’s sitting on, into a touchscreen. The examples given in their official video are purely the tip of the iceberg in terms of potential applications.

However, the big question is whether it would enable colleagues with messy desks to keep them a bit tidier; I can think of several people in Truth’s offices who might benefit!
